Q: What is the maximum depth at which this can be used without leaking if I increase the length of the cord?
A: The light is actually having an IP68 waterproof rating and is tested down to 50 meters. We designed the light to have max power to the LEDs after 16ft of the cord so that it is still very bright. Adding additional cord may decrease the power/brightness of the light because of power loss through the cord.

A: It would be better to use the 12V battery.
